Chick*n and Bac*n Fried Rice

This amazingly simple recipe is perfect for a quick take-out fix. A delicious favourite with a vegan twist is definitely going to be a hit with the family!


2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Packet NEXT! Bac*n Style Strips (chopped)
1 Packet NEXT! Chick*n Chunks
2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
2 Garlic Cloves (minced)
1 Onion (diced)
1 Carrot (chopped)
½ Cup Peas
1 Cup Cooked Rice
½ Cup Spring Onion
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
Salt and Pepper (to taste)


  1. Prepare the NEXT Bac*n Style Strips by frying in oil at a medium heat until crispy. Remove from head and leave to sit.

  2. In the same oil, fry the NEXT Chick*n Style Chunks until crispy and golden, adding salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and leave to sit.

  3. At the same time, pre-boil carrot and peas until cooked but still crunchy. Pre-boil and drain rice.

  4. Pre-heat sesame oil in a wok on medium heat- do not allow oil to burn. Add garlic, onion, carrot, peas and rice. Stir ingredients until well mixed. If sticking, a little bit of water can be added for moisture.

  5. Add in Chickn, Bacn, spring onion and soy sauce. Mix well.

  6. Cook until fully heated through.
